G Dowling 1
I have no criticisms at all about this very evocative picture, which sums up very well the dilemma facing rural and secondary rail services. Beautifully captured and executed (Bob Avery)

Splendidly atmospheric (Ian Cowley)

Excellent night shot with the figure emphasising the emptiness of the remainder of the scene. (David Flitcroft)

Technically perfect, but I wish the railman were standing a bit apart from the train, not with his hand looking trapped in the doors. (Martin Higginson)

again one small figure lifts the scene completely from what is a superb night photograph in any case! (Jonathan Cordle)
